Mental health facility expands
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, 1 in 4 Americans age 18 or older suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder each year. 90% will recover or improve greatly with proper care from a mental health professional. Todd Rochman, MD, Medical Director of EOPA, along with Wendy Affron, LCSW, and their associates: Carol Pucek, NPP, Joan Kaplan, LCSW, Ingrid Anderson, LCSW and George Toth, LCSW, are proud to announce the expansion and relocation of East Orange Psychiatric Associates, LLP in Newburgh, New York.
EOPA offers a multi-disciplinary approach and broad-spectrum of mental health care for adults and adolescents. The EOPA clinical team is dedicated to improving the quality of life for their patients by providing comprehensive, compassionate care in a private, professional, and comfortable environment. Mental health and counseling services are available for the care and treatment of a wide-variety of disorders, including: anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, chemical dependency and addictions, marital and family issues, life-cycle and age-related conditions, and stress management.

Dr. Rochman is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years experience in a vast array of clinical settings and has been an administrative and educational leader throughout the Hudson Valley. Rochman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, having trained at Columbia University hospitals in New York City.
Wendy Affron is a licensed, certified social worker (LCSW) and graduate of Columbia University with more than 10 years clinical experience. Affron has maintained administrative and educational positions in varying capacities in the mental health field throughout the region. Her areas of expertise include substance abuse, chemical dependency and other addictions, as well as post-traumatic stress. She is EMDR-trained and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Carol Pucek is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (NPP) with more than 25 years clinical experience. She received her Masters degree from Pace University and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Joan P. Kaplan is a licensed, certified social worker (LCSW) with more than 10 years experience in the mental health field. She received her education and training at Columbia University.
George Toth, a licensed, certified social worker (LCSW) is a graduate of Indiana University. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and holds a national certification in clinical hypnotherapy. Toth’s clinical experience spans more than four decades.
Ingrid Anderson (LCSW) is a graduate of the State University of New York in Albany with 22 years clinical experience in mental health services. She is an NYS Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor with extensive experience in the chemical dependency field, as well as mental health.
Complementing EOPA’s team is Kathleen Wersebe, office manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health from SUNY Cortlandt. Wersebe has worked in a variety of clinical psychiatric settings and specializing in areas of crisis intervention and psychiatric emergency care. She brings more than 21 years of experience to the EOPA team.
